Breast Augmentation: Restoring a Fuller Figure The Easy Way

Breast Augmentation: Restoring a Fuller Figure The Easy Way

Article by A Aaronson

Breast augmentation is a cosmetic procedure that involves the use of implants to help improve the bust size and contour. Surgery is the most effective enhancement technique and offer women the option to enhance their appeal subtly without drastically changing their overall looks and personality.

There are several reasons surgical bust enhancement is preferred over non-surgical alternatives. Firstly, non-surgical techniques such as hormonal therapy can have undesirable complications in the long run. More importantly, results are much more optimal and long lasting with surgical breast augmentation, when performed under the guidance of a skilled plastic surgeon.

Implants can create a striking change in the overall appearance and shape while also increasing the bust size to the desired level. In addition to improving bust contour and making it more defined, the psychological effects can be profound for some individuals. Bust enhancement can help restore bust firmness and shape post-partum which helps improve the body image for new mothers. Reconstructive surgery in women who have battled breast cancer or related conditions can also significantly enhance their self esteem and reinstate a feeling of wellness. It goes without saying that most women feel more confident post surgery, which directly translates to a more positive outlook toward other aspects of their lives.

As with most cosmetic procedures, the costs for breast augmentation can vary depending on the state you wish to have the procedure as well as the surgeon you choose. If you opt for related procedures, such as breast lifts, then your costs are likely to be higher. While the surgeon fee is significant, the type of implant you choose can also impact the total price. Silicone implants, for instance, tend to be more expensive than saline implants, but silicone is still the preferred implant type. Finally, surgeons’ fees can differ. Additional expenses include the initial consultations and follow-up as well as the fees for the surgical and anesthesia facilities provided by the clinic.

It is a good idea to obtain a quote during your preliminary consultation so that you can plan your finances. Paying with personal cash saved up from past income is probably the ideal way of paying for surgery. However, not all women looking to opt for bust enhancement have the funds to pay upfront for the procedure. While credit cards provide much needed relief, this may mean that interest rates add up significantly if you use credit to pay for the entire procedure. This makes a financing loan an ideal option. Personal loans from smaller financial agencies and specialized plastic surgery lenders may be helpful. Most private lenders approve loans as long as your credit rating and payment history is sound. Before opting for loans from private lenders, be sure to research their reputation in the market as well as their net interest rates and any hidden charges. Also study the repayment schedule and payment options on offer, as well as any penalties for early repayment.

While plastic surgeries can turn out to be expensive, it may be remembered that the outcomes far outweigh the investment. Breast augmentation is a procedure that offers long-term results that enhances a woman’s aesthetic appeal while also improving confidence and self image.

Financing Your Breast Augmentation with Bad Credit

Financing Your Breast Augmentation with Bad Credit

Article by Anders Abadie

Making the decision to move forward with a cosmetic procedure is huge. Not only is the topic controversial, but the act, in itself is very expensive. Many people view breast augmentation as a frivolous purchase, which works in making it more difficult to obtain financing for the procedure. In the vast majority of cases, health insurance and Medicare will refuse to pay for plastic surgery. But before your get all down in the dumps, you should know that there are a variety of funding options available to you, even if you happen to have a less than perfect credit history. Complications are a possibility with any type of medical procedure, and as such, many lenders will avoid the risk of financing these types of procedures. You will need to be creative when planning out the financial backing for your implants. In this article, we will offer up a variety of options to help you obtain the funding you need to achieve the bigger bust you?re after.

Step 1 ? Get in touch with your bank manager and a variety of loan companies. If you are able to show a steady source of income, while also providing that your augmentation will increase your pay, it may increase your chances of obtaining financing. Women who make a living in the adult entertainment industry can claim these types of procedures as an employment expense.

Step 2 ? Contact your health insurance provider. The majority of HMOs or health maintenance organizations will refuse to cover elective surgical procedures. It is possible that you may be able to bend the rules a little in a case where your physician makes it apparent that you will require the surgery to deal with breast cancer, a disfigurement or deformity. Make it known to your physician and health insurance company if your condition is causing you psychological harm.

Step 3 ? Research plastic surgeons in the area who are board certified and reputable and find out whether they offer financing to their patients. Some offices will work hand in hand with finance companies in order to help their patients obtain the surgeries they?re looking for. In addition, many of these companies will work to approve people who have bad credit.

Step 4 ? Look into unconventional methods as means of obtaining the funding. Some radio programs will hold contests for breast augmentation surgeries.

Step 5 ? Though it?s not going to work with your impatience, consider saving for a few years until you can afford the procedure in cash. Not only will this save you money in interest payments, but it will also afford you the opportunity to think long and hard as to whether the procedure is a good fit for you. Making a spur of the moment decision is never a good idea when it comes to surgical procedures. Additionally, if you do decide to move forward with the surgery, you will appreciate it all the more, due to the fact that you have so much time and money invested in it.

Brain Cancer: A Quick Overview and Even Faster Facts

Brain Cancer: A Quick Overview and Even Faster Facts

Article by Jeremy Smith

Cancer is one of the leading causes of death among populations and is characterized by the parasitic, abnormal growth of cells in the body; it may attack any system of the body including the Central Nervous System. It attacks men and women, children and adults, whatever the race or ethnicity.

Brain cancer is defined as any abnormal tissue growth in the brain and is very broad term since this growth may be found in the blood vessels supplying the brain, the meninges or covering of the organ, or from the brain tissue itself and its components. There is no one cause for cancer, but there are several predisposing factors which may increase the risk like age, heredity, exposure to carcinogens, and presence of premalignant lesions like moles. Of the stated predisposing factors, genetics appear to be the strongest factor.

No matter the origin of this abnormal growth, the limited space inside the cranium will result to “overcrowding” which may lead to the compression of the structures within the skull, leading to an increased Intracranial Pressure. Now, if this pressure in the skull increases, it will have the following effects: it will decrease the oxygenation to the brain, cause accumulation of metabolic wastes such as lactic acid and carbonic acid, and cause impaired brain functioning. In a nutshell, having increased pressure in one’s skull is bad, and since the malignant tumour grows steadily, it will progress the patient’s deterioration until the brain’s respiratory and circulatory centers, the pons and medulla oblongata, cease functioning because of the lack of oxygen and metabolic acidity.

To confirm the presence of a malignancy, the physician will order a tissue biopsy which will assess the suspicious cells for abnormal appearance characteristic of cancer. When it comes to innovations in cancer treatment technology and research, Texas has some of the largest programs in the United States, brain cancer Texas appears to be the mecca of Cancer management; it even sports programs that cater specifically to one group of clients, especially children and adolescents. When a tumour is confirmed to be malignant, the healthcare providers may offer the family three major options: Surgery, Chemotherapy, or Radiotherapy. Surgery is usually the first step doctors will recommend the family to take, followed by either of the two remaining treatments.

To detect malignancies, one should submit themselves to a thorough physical examination annually and to maintain a healthy lifestyle. More caution and careful screening should be practiced by those with a family history of cancer since it can run in families.

All About Mesothelioma Cancer

All About Mesothelioma Cancer

Article by Agatha Simona

Is mesothelioma curable? The straight answer to this question is ‘No’. Well, there are medications and treatments that help in easing the pain and may help to prolong life, but these treatments are not enough to save life. Mesothelium refers to the wrapping structure of most of the bodily organs in our body and mesothelioma is the cancer that occurs in mesothelium.Like any other cancerous conditions, abnormal cell growth is observed in the area of mesothelium when someone suffers from mesothelioma. When these abnormal cells start growing rapidly, they cause harm to the nearby cells, leading to the metastatic condition, which means that the cancer spreads to the nearby tissues and organs.

Mesothelioma is mostly noticed in the lung area, precisely in the pleura – the thin lining wrapping the chest cavity and lung. Apart from that, mesothelioma also affects areas pericardium, the wrapping structure of heart and peritoneum, the wrapping structure of abdominal cavity.

The Major Causes of MesotheliomaThe major causes of mesothelioma are not very common. However, the cure of mesothelioma is nearly impossible and thus the recovery is much tougher, once diagnosed. As we know, prevention is always better than cure, so being aware of the causes of mesothelioma may offer some advance benefits in prevention of mesothelioma. Let us discuss it here now.

Not a surprise now, but the people from western countries are higher risk for developing mesothelioma cancer than people from developing countries. Do you know why? The simple reason is industrialization. It’s true that modern science has offered us a wide variety of luxuries and hi-tech facilities, but it hasn’t offered it for free, but it has taken its toll.

The leading cause of developing mesothelioma cancer is asbestos exposure. Quite naturally, the exposure to asbestos is quite higher in the industrial zone than any other areas. Although no concrete reason has found in support of this fact, it has been seen that men are at higher risk for developing mesothelioma cancer than women. Also, mesothelioma cancer can develop at any age, but elderly people are more prone due to reduced immune level.

Although asbestos has been identified as the primary trigger for the development of mesothelioma cancer, few cases have been also reported as the instances of not getting exposed to asbestos. In some cases, radiation has also been found to cause mesothelioma cancer. In rarest cases, thorium dioxide may also trigger mesothelioma cancer.

Signs and Symptoms of MesotheliomaIt is very important to understand the symptoms of mesothelioma at an earlier stage, so that the recovery could be possibly easier. Unfortunately, it is really difficult to understand the mesothelioma symptoms at an earlier stage, because doctors, health practitioners and even patients frequently become confused to understand as they resemble so much with any other non-fatal and common health conditions.

However, if the patient suspects that he or she might have been developed mesothelioma cancer, it is important not to neglect the condition and seek help from the doctors. A regular medical check up of thoracic zone and abdominal area can help in diagnosing mesothelioma cancer in earlier stages. If someone is working in asbestos factory or industries involved in asbestos manufacturing or molding job should frequently check them up in the mesothelioma clinic.

The most specific symptoms of mesothelioma cancer are breathing troubles, swallowing problem, sudden weight loss, back pain, cough, excessive and abnormal sweating, and chest pain. Admitted, these symptoms are very common and in most of the cases may not lead to any serious problems, the concerned individual should not be left unattended, once diagnosed with such signs and symptoms.

If you or your near ones are working in asbestos factories and these symptoms become apparent, consulting doctors should be an emergency. Always remember that mesothelioma symptoms do not occur at an earlier stage, but in majority of the cases the symptoms occur at advanced stages due to the pressure created by the cancerous cells over the nerve cells and other tissues and organs.

Diagnosis of MesotheliomaWhen someone is suspected developing mesothelioma cancer, doctors take an account of the degree of the asbestos exposure of the concerned person. The exposure to asbestos is considered as the precursor of the mesothelioma. Predominantly, diagnostic tests are done by lung function test and chest x-ray or abdominal x-ray. Apart from these diagnostic tests, imaging tests like CT (Computer Tomography) scan, MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) and PET (Positron Emission Tomography) scan are also conducted.

Treatment of MesotheliomaUnfortunately, conventional treatments do not bring enough success in the treatment of mesothelioma cancer. Once diagnosed, the expected remaining life span lies from 6 months to 1 year. The severity of mesothelioma cancer depends on a wide variety of reasons. One of these factors is the elongated latency period between the development of the disease and asbestos exposure.

Surgical InterventionSurgical intervention is one of the commonest modes of treatment of mesothelioma cancer. When the surgery is performed, depending on the condition of the disease and the person concerned, doctors conduct either the surgery alone or in combination with adjuvant therapy. However, none of these modes are enough promising, since the survival rate is really too less, say, lesser than 10%. Pleurectomy is the most common form of surgery. In this surgical procedure, the chest lining is fully confiscated.

Radiation TherapyAlthough mesothelioma cancer is extremely resistant to radiation therapy, this treatment method is still employed in order to trim down the pain that develops as a result of mesothelioma cancerous growth. The radiation therapy is most commonly used to prevent cancerous growth along the chest wall.

ChemotherapyIn the year 2004, FDA approved Pemetrexed drug for the chemotherapy treatment of pleural malignant mesothelioma cancer. This drug is administered in combination with cisplatin. Folic acid is applied in order to minimize the adverse side effects of Pemetrexed drug.

ImmunotherapyImmunotherapy is another mode of treatment for mesothelioma cancer. The results of immunotherapy significantly vary from person to person. While Bacillus calmette-Guerin offers benefit to the immunotherapy treatment urinary bladder cancer, it does not provide any positive result in the treatment of mesothelioma cancer.

On the other hand, vitrolysis by LAK is found to be effective in obliterating mesothelioma cancerous cells. However, the biggest drawback of this treatment is the extreme adverse side effects. In fact, this treatment is terminated due to the serious adverse side effects of interleukin-2 toxicity. When it is developed, patients start suffering from fever and cachexia. Interferon alpha produces positive benefit, however, lately. Nearly 50% reduction in the tumor size is observed during this phase.

Legal Help for Mesothelioma CancerMany patients suffering from mesothelioma cancer seek legal help from mesothelioma attorneys. People need to seek for mesothelioma attorney when they are about to file a case for compensation against the company responsible for their exposure to asbestos. It is due to the fact that asbestos causes mesothelioma cancer. A prolonged exposure to asbestos or products manufactured from asbestos may cause cancer, so patients with such exposure can claim for compensation.

Mesothelioma LawsuitsQuite obviously, attorneys specializing on mesothelioma cancer and the causes can offer someone more help if he is suffering from mesothelioma cancer due to the result of asbestos exposure in the professional sector than any other general attorneys. So, it is important to seek help from mesothelioma attorneys to file a compensation case against any company. It can be filed for a group of individuals and this type of group filing is referred to as class action lawsuits. Needless to say, this type of lawsuit draws more public attention since there are a huge number of people involved.

Typically, the fees of mesothelioma attorneys are quite higher. However, one does not need to cover the fees if the attorneys lose the case. So the patients do not need to hesitate to file for a mesothelioma lawsuit, since it does not involve any financial burden. For individual cases, it completes faster, however, for the group, it needs some time to finish the case.

symptoms and signs of brain cancer and treatment

symptoms and signs of brain cancer and treatment

Article by Alvis Walter

Every individual having brain tumors should receive unique and individual Brain Cancer Treatment. The treatment generally depends on the individual’s age, general health, and size and location of the tumor.

There are several questions surrounding brain cancer treatment. The nature of treatment, its effects, and the long-term outcomes are some of them. Doctors are best equipped to handle these questions.

Overview of brain cancer treatment

Brain Cancer Treatment is generally complex. Some treatment plans will require multiple doctors.

1. The medical team usually comprises neurosurgeons, oncologists, radiation oncologists, and a general practitioner. Individuals may also want to include a dietitian, social worker, and physiotherapists.2. The nature of the treatment will depend on location, size and type of the tumor. Existing medical conditions and age are other factors that need considerations when deciding the nature of treatment.

Brain Cancer Surgery

Most individuals who have a brain tumor are required to undergo surgery.

1. Surgery helps confirm the abnormality seen in the brain scans. Nature of the tumor and method of removal are also determined at the time of surgery. Surgeons will most probably take a sample of the tumor that needs to be removed. 2. When it comes to benign tumors, most symptoms vanish with the removal of the tumor. 3. A modern method for removal of tumors can be performed without a knife and is called stereotactic surgery. The tumor is removed without opening the skull. MRI and CT scans are used to determine the exact location of the tumor within the brain. Radiation beams are focused on the tumor from different directions. Radiation helps destroy the tumor. This method is also known as ‘gamma knife’.4. Knifeless surgeries have fewer complications. The recovery time, too, is much shorter.

Before surgery, individuals may have to undergo several treatment plans.

1. Administration of dexamethasone helps reduce swelling. It is also a steroid drug.2. Treatment with anticonvulsant drugs, such as carbamazepine, relieves seizures. It also prevents its formation.3. Excessive cerebrospinal fluid around the brain can be drained away by a thick plastic tube known as a shunt. One end of the shunt is fixed in the cavity where the fluid gathers. The other end is threaded under the skin to another body part. The fluid drains into a site from where it can be easily eliminated.

Brain Cancer Radiation Therapy

Radiation therapy, also known as radiotherapy, involves usage of high-energy rays to destroy cells of the tumor. This prevents tumors from growing and multiplying.

1. Individuals who cannot undergo surgery are prescribed radiation therapy. In some cases, it may be used after surgery to destroy tumor cells.2. Radiation therapy is local in nature, which means that only targeted cells are affected. Other brain and body cells are not affected.

Palliative treatments are designed to elevate the comfort levels of the patient. It also helps ease pain. Patients can also explore the field of latest treatments by signing up for clinical trials.

An in Depth Review on Brain Cancer Symptoms

An in Depth Review on Brain Cancer Symptoms

Article by Nathaniel Hansen

The report, published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, stated: “We found an inverse association between total tea and coffee consumption and the risk of glioma. “These findings, if further replicated in other studies, may ?provide new avenues of research on gliomas.” The Daily Express reported that approximately 4,200 people are diagnosed with a brain tumor each year in Britain and around half are gliomas. When we brought it up with the doctor, he didn’t say that he believed that there was something wrong with the procedure; he wondered if my brother-in-law had started combing his hair in the wrong direction. This was kind of like the way Toyota likes to blame the out-of-control acceleration in their cars on drivers getting their pedals mixed up. We began to read up, and then came this breaking story in the New York Times that really was a wake-up call. That CT brain scan was what was behind it all the time. Those machines (made by GE, Toshiba and others) didn’t have the software set up so that they would be easy for the technicians to use; the companies didn’t train the lab technicians properly, and my brother-in-law had ended up getting 10 times the radiation he should have. And there are so many people this is happening to that there’s actually a class action lawsuit being planned.Brain cancer radiation therapy has been successful in nine of ten cases. While there are some side effects and symptoms that may be potentially dangerous, this is rare as medical doctors watch the individual undergoing therapy very closely. This means that if any complications come up, they may be dealt with quickly. If you have brain cancer, it is important to ensure that you discuss all of your treatment options with a doctor prior to initiating brain cancer radiation therapy. One of the most common is the test that evaluates your blood. This test will validate whether or not your base figures are either low or high when it comes to protein and other nutrients in the blood. In addition to this, the medical professional will likely inquire about the health history that you have had. It is also common for them to ask questions about the way that you eat, immediately followed by an examination pertaining to your body mass index. These are identified as neurons by medical professionals. On top of this amazing level of neurons, it has been established that there are approximately thirteen trillion different types of connections that work to ensure that the signals sent from and to the brain are successful. Many compare the brain to a computer. However, it is quite unlikely that any man-made machine will ever reach the capacity or exhibit even the most basic functionality of the human brain. There are many factors that come into play when a doctor provides a prognosis. While it is true that the practice of medicine is a type of science and that it is impossible for any professional to accurately predict the course of a condition 100%, if a brain cancer prognosis is provided, it is typically accurate based on statistical information obtained from other patients. These regions include the membranes and even the small blood vessels within or around the brain. There are types of cancer that result from cells that spread from other regions in the body – such as organs. In this brain health guide, you will learn about details pertaining to brain cancer.Acoustic Neuroma is a tumor that directly impacts the nerve that assists in hearing. Medical professionals refer to this as the “8th Cranial Nerve”. This is considered to be a slow growing brain tumor that is typically identified in the region of the brain that is referred to as the cerebellum as well as the area that is referred to as the pons.In some instances, a patient that is exhibiting new, unusually painful headaches and swelling may be further evaluated. In addition to these symptoms, those that experience seizures and signs of potential swelling such as vomiting will be referred to a neurologist for a full, in-depth medical examination. There are many different tests that may be used to determine if an individual has an Astrocytoma brain cancer tumor. One of the main diagnostic tools used to scan the brain for this type of tumor is the MRI or the Magnetic Resonance Imaging scan. There are two methods in giving the radiation therapy. First is the implant radiation therapy wherein the radioactive substance is put straight to the affected area. The implant of the radioactive substance might be temporary or permanent depending on the substance used. The second method for radiation therapy is the external radiation. Large machine is being used for this process.

Brain Cancer. The Killer That Just Called on Your Cellphone.

Brain Cancer. The Killer That Just Called on Your Cellphone.

Article by Tom Cincurak

I know what you are thinking. There is no way that talking on my cellphone can possibly cause cancer, right. Wrong. Yes, I have a cellphone too and use it all the time, but I do use speaker phone as much as possible. These are just some statistics and studies that have been done recently to make you think twice about not using your speakerphone. I don?t just believe that using my cell phone can cause cancer, I know it to be true. If you can get cancer by standing within 3 to 4 feet of your microwave, then how about radio waves being emitted right next to your earlobe.

The causes of cancer are many, but let us look at all the warnings and maybe see if there is some validation to the so called claims. First of all, why would the United Nations warn us in a report that electromagnetic radiation emitted by cell phones, computers, ipads and other wireless devices could possibly cause cancer. Secondly, why the the World Health Organization warn us that according to scientific research the following conclusion to different types of cancer have been ascertained. According to developing Glioma which is a rare but often deadly form of brain tumor, electromagnetic fields are a very strong possibility of being carcinogenic to humans. In other words, electromagnetic waves emitted by things we use every day, such as our computers and cell phones are very cancer causing.

Now here is one for you, why would manufacturers put warning labels on the devices that they sell, as far as keeping the device a minimum distance away from the body to minimize cell phone radiation. Blackberry suggests to keep at least .98 inches away from the body. The IPhone Safety Manual says to keep the phone at least 15 millimeters away from the body. The most radiation that is emitted by cell phones and computers is when they are attempting to connect to towers. Also a moving phone or phone in an area with a weak signal, has to work harder to connect thereby giving off more radiation. So avoid using out of the way places when talking on your cellphone like elevators, factories, apartment buildings and rural areas that have a weak signal thereby limiting your risk of greater exposure to cell phone radiation.

The World Health Organization which was created by the way for the common good of all mankind has now listed mobile cell phone use in the same ?carcinogenic hazard? category as lead, engine exhaust and chloroform as being very cancer causing. So if you wanted to know some to the causes of cancer here are 4 huge ones, Carbonmonoxied Poisoning, Lead, Chloroform and the best for last, Electromagnetic Radio Waves ( radiation ) emitted by cell phones. To back up these findings a team of 31 scientists form 14 countries found enough proof from the evidence compiled to honestly categorize personal exposure as possibly being very carcinogenic to humans. They found evidence of an increase in glioma and acoustic neuroma brain cancer for mobile phone users.

Please pay close attention to the following fact. The type of radiation coming out of cell phones is called non-ionizing, unlike an x-ray it is similar to a low powered microwave oven. If you have been following my articles then you have studied the facts that food cooked in a microwave oven loses it?s chemical structure thereby nullifying the nutrients in the food that is microwaved. As was the case of the lawsuit for Norma Levitt in Oaklahoma in 1991 where Norma Levitt went in for a simple hip replacement and the acting nurse on duty accidently heated in the microwave the blood to be used for Norma in the transfusion. Hence Norma Levitt died and the case is still in the courts. The blood should have been heated in warm water as mothers do with baby milk but unfortunately it was accidently heated in the microwave oven thereby nullifying the properties in the blood therefore changing the bloods molecular structure.

Last but not least I give you the icing on the cake. Dr. George Carlo is a fellow member of the American College of Epidemiology and serves on the faculty of the Geroge Washington University school of medicine. In 1999 the Cellular Telecommunications Industry Association ( CTIA ) hired George to prove to the public that cell phones will not cause cancer and are indeed safe. The following are the facts from the multi million dollar research done.

The developing skulls and brain tissue of children and teenagers are more susceptible to cell phone radiation The blood brain barrier which prevents dangerous chemicals circulating in our blood from reaching sensitvie brain tissue is compromised by radio frequency radiation emitted by cell phone antennas. Radio frequency radiation creates micronuclei in human blood cells, a type of genetic damage known to be a precurser for diagnosing cancer. Radiation emissions from cell phones are double of what genetic damage in blood cells has been found in radiation levels. More deaths from cell phone users than non users.
